Why should I use Sostek instead of hiring someone without any assistance?

How many caregivers can I interview before I hire them?

You tell us how many interviews work best for you. If you're not completely satisfied after you hire someone, just let us know. At your request, we can promptly refer a substitute or replacement caregiver.

What are the caregivers allowed to do?

We are a caregiver referral service and the caregiver is not an employee of Sostek. The household employer is responsible for determining what work is done and how it gets done. This gives you the ability to define what you want the caregiver to do, from medication management to household management, and everything in between. Please note that Massachusetts has enacted a Domestic Workers Bill of Rights. You can find more information here. What happens if my caregiver is sick or cannot come to work?

This is another example where Sostek provides added value. At your request, we will refer a substitute caregiver as quickly as possible.

Is there differential pay for nights, weekends or holidays?

Caregivers set their own rates and typically there is no differential pay for nights or weekends. Many caregivers do require supplemental pay for certain holidays. Do I need to sign a contract with Sostek?

Before making a referral, we require all customers to countersign a service engagement agreement via e-signature or hard copy.
